Brisbane Zombie Walk 2015: Day of the Dead
Sunday 1st November, Roma Street Parkland
This year’s annual Brisbane Zombie Walk will take place on Sunday 1st November at Roma Street Parkland.
Themed ‘Day of the Dead’, it will be a celebration of the all things UNDEAD. Commencing at 2pm, festival goers can get Zombiefied by our professional make-up and special effects artists, plus get splattered with blood in the splatter tent. A prize will be on offer for best costume of the day, so dress to impress. There will also be a full range of markets, food and beverage stalls on offer, plus 18+ licensed areas within the festival.
Two music stages will keep the crowds entertained all day – the main stage dedicated to live bands, and the second stage pumping beats from some of Brisbane’s best DJ’s. Stay tuned for the announcement of the headline act, sure to be a huge crowd pleaser!
The ‘walk’ itself will take place at 5pm – leaving from Roma Street Parkland and weaving through the surrounding inner-city streets, where the Zombies will get to both frighten and delight bystanders and the unsuspecting public.
With the ‘walk’ returning back to the Parkland, the festival will continue on through the evening, finishing up at 9pm when it will then move onto the official after-party venue which will be announced shortly.
Don’t miss out on what is going to be the biggest and best Brisbane Zombie Walk yet!
About Brisbane Zombie Walk:
The Brisbane Zombie Walk is an annual event which was first introduced to Queensland in 2006. In 2009, Brisbane Zombie Walk became affiliated with the Brain Foundation of Australia, to raise awareness and funds for the charity whilst also offering the public a unique and entertaining event.
From humble beginnings, the 2011 event achieved a record breaking crowd of over 20,000 participants, breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest Zombie Walk attendance in the world!
2012 saw the event take on a new direction with the introduction of a fully fledged festival in addition to the ‘walk’. The new format was a huge success and will remain a part of all future Brisbane Zombie Walk events.
To date, Brisbane Zombie Walk has raised in excess of $100,000 for the Brain Foundation of Australia, with hopes to raise over $55,000 in 2013.
